Head of Department of General Surgery, Endocrinology and Oncology Gastrointestinal, the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poland.
General surgery specialist, the main areas of professional interest are coloproctology (currently the President of the Polish Coloproctology Club), broadly understood comprehensive perioperative care (ERAS, nutrition, surgical site infection), negative pressure therapy (Originator and Editor-in-Chief of the "Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Journal") and disease altitude (doctor and active participant of high-altitude and exploration expeditions). A graduate of the Medical University of K Marcinkowski in Poznań (1994), he received the degree of associate professor of medical sciences in 2015. From 2017, he was the Head of the Department and Clinic of General, Endocrinological and Gastroenterological Surgery at the Medical University of Poznań. A member of international expert teams in the field of negative pressure therapy, open abdominal treatment, surgical site infections.
